This free work book will take you through a process to elicit and document your core values, this is especially important if you are looking to make changes in your life.

Finding out what your values are

If you were to ask yourself “what are my values?” Can you easily list them? – If you have some difficulties listing your values then it may be interesting to read on.

By discovering your core values you will gain a valuable understanding of just who you are and what makes you tick – a very important aspect of personal growth. This can be further enhanced by asking yourself “what new values would be useful to me at this time in my life – to enable me to get where I want to go? ” By discovering your values you can begin to resolve the hidden conflicts in your life, remove stress and give yourself more direction.

Self aware people seem to be consciously (or perhaps just unconsciously) aware of their values, the things that are important to them, the essence of what they believe in and it allows them to keep focussed on the track that is important to them. Values can come in all shapes and sizes – love, calmness, personal growth, making a difference, courage, honesty, confidence, friendship, win-win, determination, resourcefulness, adventure, caring – the list goes on (see my A-Z of values below)

Once you understand your vales they become the code of ethics that guides your decision making process – why would you do something that is not inline with your values? – Your decisions become aligned with YOUR values (not what someone else might think).

It takes a while to really define your values, that’s why I put together this “Values Listing Tool” it will allow you to gently explore what is important to you and decide what new values may be more productive as you become more self aware.
