Please be clear about this. I am not a doctor. I am not currently licensed or accredited with a professional body. I do not need to be for the work I do here, because I am not diagnosing you, prescribing medication, touching you, or telling you that you must follow my advice.
I am sharing what I have learned from recovering myself and from twenty years of working with complex anxiety. I arrange that experience into perspectives and techniques you may choose to try, alongside whatever your doctor is already offering.
Why I chose to no longer maintain my original accreditations
When I retrained from engineering to therapy in 2005 I did it by the book. I trained in CBT, NLP, clinical hypnotherapy, and personality tools including MBTI, DISC and the Enneagram. I took a diploma in Integrated Mind Therapy and joined the usual registers and associations.
I learned a lot. Very little of it was sufficient for the complex anxiety, OCD and depression I was actually seeing. CBT, which was the default recommendation, often felt clumsy in that territory.
I also became unwilling to keep paying associations for a badge that added little to the work itself. Most people arrived after they had already tried accredited routes and were still stuck. If letters after a name were the main solution, the problem would be shrinking. It is not.
There are excellent people inside conventional care. My point is narrower: for many of the clients who reached me, the issue was how they were living, seeing themselves and using their mind and body — and that needed a different kind of training.
About fifteen years ago I stepped away from that model and became my own researcher. I read widely, then tested what I read on myself. Knowledge is knowing something. Wisdom is finding out whether it works in real life. That is the basis of what I now teach.
One size does not fit all
People are different. Introvert and extrovert, men and women, trauma histories, purpose — they do not all need the same script. Personality work helps me see that quickly. It is not a substitute for effort. It is a way of aiming the effort.
I don’t take insurance referrals
I do not take insurance referrals. I work privately with adults who have usually already tried the standard routes. I do not work directly with children under 18. I do work with parents who want calmer, more useful ways to support their children.
Medications for anxiety and OCD
As I cannot prescribe. I spend a lot of time on what a person can change in thinking, action, food, movement and inner chemistry alongside any medication they already take. Medication can reduce intensity. It does not do the life-work. Some drugs also bring side effects or dependency. I am not saying medication has no place. I am saying there is usually more you can do than wait for a pill to finish the job. Do not change prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor.
What this site is:
This site and the course are my experiential truth. They are what I have tested and seen work. Other bodies may describe the problem differently. I am not asking you to take that on faith. I am asking you to try what is useful and leave the rest.
If you want the deeper layer — Soul as the rider of the horse, energy, how inner reality shapes the life you actually inhabit — that is in the course and on the About pages. You do not need that belief to use the practical tools.
